Ethiopia

  • Addis Ababa AIDS Homecare Project
    cares for orphans and other vulnerable children and provides clinical care for people living with AIDS.

Kenya

  • Beacon of Hope (BOH)
    is a registered organization in Nairobi sharing the love of Christ in practical ways. The mission of BOH is to bring hope to women living with HIV/AIDS by equipping them to meet their spiritual, physical, emotional and economic needs through: vocational training, product development and marketing, counseling, childcare, child education and medical assistance.www.beaconafrica.org
  • Tanari Trust
    is a ministry of the Nairobi Baptist Church. The Trust provides camps, mentoring and discipleship for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. www.tanari.org
  • A Prepared Place
    facilitates adoptions of orphans for Christian families in Kenya. The organization also works to improve the infrastructure of the community in which it works by providing water and agricultural resources. Download PDF Write Up

Malawi

  • World Relief
    Through a network established by World Relief, SFA will provide food for 2,000 orphans; HIV education for 8,000. In addition support will enable the use of drama and music to provide encouragement and compassion for 3,000 orphans living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Save the Orphans
    in Machinga and Ntcheu-SFA will provide nutritional support and HIV prevention education for 1,500 orphans.
  • Save Africa's Children
    provides direct support to 150 children affected by HIV/AIDS. www.saveafricaschildren.com

Mozambique

  • Anglican Church, Lebombo Diocese
    The Diocese is currently providing food and HIV education prevention for 1,500 orphans. Via this ministry SFA will provide school supplies, uniforms and school fees for 200 orphans.
  • The Salvation Army Mkubwa (Big Mother) Program
    is one of the largest and most effective relief and development ministries in the country. The Mkubwa Program is working to improve the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children across the country by providing nutritional support, education and medical assistance.

Somalia

South Africa

  • Bacosa Pelonomi Children's Home
    currently cares for over 200 AIDS orphans and provides care and education for adults infected with the disease.
  • Save Africa's Children
    provides medical care, housing and education for 120 orphans. www.saveafricaschildren.com

Sudan

Swaziland

  • Book of Hope
    In 2006 63.5 million children worldwide will receive a Book of Hope. This book is specifically designed to provide HIV/AIDS prevention information. SFA is funding the distribution of this book in Swaziland. www.bookofhope.net
  • The Swazi Church Forum on AIDS
    Brings together churches from across the country to provide reliable information on the HIV/AIDS crisis and Biblical training for Pastors and key leaders.
  • Lighthouse Ministries
    This is an "umbrella organization" that has created partnerships with various ministries thoughout the country to provide nutritional support and HIV/AIDS prevention education for the orphans and vulnerable children.

Tanzania

  • Touch Tanzania
    This is an "umbrella organization" that has created partnerships with various ministries throughout the country serving over 15,000 orphans. www.touchtanzania.org

    a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church provides residential care for HIV/AIDS orphaned children. Irente provides education, medical care and home placement.
  • The Salvation Army Mkubwa (BigMother) Program
    provides a wide range of support ministries for thousands of orphans in the country.

Zambia

Zimbabwe

  • GUTU and BITITA
    Orphanages provide care for orphaned children in two communities where 50% of the population is infected by HIV/AIDS. The Orphanages also fund micro business ventures to help the communities to become self sufficient.
