Dear Stand for Africa Supporter,
The June 9 Stand For Africa Rally at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale raised over $12,000 to help AIDS Orphans in Africa.
The Rev. Herbert H. Lusk, II, founder of Stand for Africa preached at the event and The Rev. Claire Schenot Burkat, Bishop of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America brought greetings and thanked Stand For Africa for its support of the Irente Children's Home in the synod's companion diocese in Tanzania.
The coordinating committee for the event included The Rev. Larry V. Smoose, Pastor of Reformation Lutheran Church, Media and a founding member of Stand For Africa, Mr. Rick Marshall, Stand for Africa Board member, Andrea Baxter, Associate Director of Music at Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Rev. Rebecca Eisenhart, Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church.
The next Stand for Africa rally will be on November 10 at Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr.
